Propagate is a Farmer owned Society which will create mutually beneficial relationships which will lift industry standards. Our vision is for all Propagate members to be recognised as an “Employer of Choice” and committed to “Fostering Future Farmers”
To enable us to deliver our vision the society will:
- Ensure prospective members achieve a minimum assessment compliance to gain membership and commit to continual improvement.
- Provide ongoing support and training to enhance member’s capabilities.

Why the need for Propagate?
There is a shortage of skilled farm employees with the capability to manage multimillion dollar businesses. This is partly caused by the high staff turnover and poor retention within our industry. It is also caused by poor training and trainee’s not being given opportunities or constructive feedback.
We believe that by creating Propagate we have the chance to become employers of choice and to give people starting out in our industry confidence that by joining a Propagate employer they are giving themselves the best chance to achieve their ambitions and create a long-term career for them and their families so that they can become a Future Farmer of New Zealand.
