Harvey Smith
Running a dairy operation is no easy feat and we can’t do it without good people.
Finding and developing the skills of the right people to suit our own farms is the key to our success.
Harvey has spent 20 years in the fertiliser industry interacting with farmers and helping them achieve their goals. The last 5 were in management of the Upper SI team, striving to meet shareholders nutrient, production and sustainability expectations.
Currently Harvey and his wife run a 650 cow dairy farm near Anama in Mid Canterbury, employing three staff and enjoying the challenge of bedding down a new dairy business.
They have found good staff need support to help develop their skills to perform on farm and strive to meet their goals and career aspirations.
Join us at Propagate to help foster our future farmers.
